Miss Kate Weller
We are very pleased to announce that our newest team member has arrived in Cooroy and, along with her canine companion Rudy, has settled nicely into our somewhat warmer than Victorian winter. Kate has been busy since she arrived in the practice on 8th June 2020. She is available for consultation 4 days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
Kate grew up in the border town of Echuca on the Murray River in Victoria. She graduated from Flinders University in South Australia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Medical Science (Vision Science) & Master of Optometry (incorporating Ocular Therapeutics).  She spent 5 years working in the Central Goldfields region of Victoria before moving to Cooroy.
Kate finds the diversity of optometry practice and that of her patients exciting. She is always up for a challenge and enjoys working with children's vision, myopia control, contact lenses and dry eye. Applying her ocular therapeutics qualification with glaucoma co-management, anterior eye disease and foreign body removal is another area of keen interest for this enthusiastic young professional.
Outside of work Kate enjoys an active lifestyle involving a multitude of sporting activities and time exploring the Sunny Coast with her furry pal Rudy.
